I missed Thursday because of thanksgiving excuse me for that. Enjoy a little history.
In 1857 the lineman pliers were born. There was a gentleman named Mathias Klein who fixed and made new pliers. Now at that time electricity was something of a special science that 99% of the general population had no idea how it worked. They only knew that it could kill. As a matter of fact it would be a stat that lineman from 1890 to 1930 it was the most dangerous job in the world.
Chicago was the city. They were growing, from 300 people in 1871 to 300,000+ people in 1871 and they needed communication. Why, well because when people need to know news or need to tell someone something they would send them a letter and mail it. That of course took a long time and there needed to be a better way. And the way was telegraph. And back then communication was transferred with morse code. And you need electricity to transfer this code over lines so that one person on one side of the line can pick up what the other is trying to send via morse code. Those lines did not exist as a matter of fact there was no lines at all. Lines needed to be installed and they need to be safe. To make them safe a new job was created, this job was called linemen. Linemen needed tools and one of the tools they craved for was the pliers that were tough enough to withstand the work that lineman put there tools through. And the linemen pliers were born. Soon after Mr. Klein saw the need for these tools and Klein tools were born. You can visit them at kleintools.com.
