220.60 Non-coincident Loads: Now here is an article that allows some concession to the end user for input on how we calculate loads. But when a person builds out a shop and they can only use one tool at a time then we need to make these concessions. Note this article allows for this to save on panel space, and labor and material by allowing us to run one branch circuit and feeding two or more pieces of equipment. This article I haven’t herd of when the inspectors do there final walk through. I hope this article can be used or better said exploited by someone.
“220.60 Non-coincident Loads. Where it is unlikely that two or more non-coincident loads will be in use simultaneously, it shall be permissible to use only the largest load(s) that will be used at one time for calculating the total load of a feeder or service.”
